Yep, it's that time again. The holidays are upon us and we at GVN (Andrew and Myself) are going to take a brief hiatus from podcasting. We each have a couple more articles to publish before the end of the year, so expect a couple more posts. GVN Radio will resume in January along with my annual Top 10 games list video.
So Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah, Happy Holidays and Happy New Year to everyone.

DHGF Review: Blood of the Werewolf (PC)
"I have played some wonderful platformers these past couple of years. Among my recent favorites are the indie titles Fly’n, Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams and the Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures. I can say without a doubt that Blood of the Werewolf is now among them. Blood of the Werewolf is a phenomenal action platformer that has a great balance of difficulty, gameplay variance, precision, artistic style and atmosphere. Aside from a couple of minor complaints, Blood of the Werewolf is a solid gaming experience, and Scientifically Proven did a wonderful job with the first game in what I can hopefully call a promising franchise."

GVN Review: Armored Core: Verdict Day
Potential Spoilers, you have been warned.
For a while I have been looking around for a good customizable Mech game. I tried a few others before trying out Armored Core 3. And 3, while dull at times managed to catch my attention.

DHGF Review: Gas Guzzlers Extreme (PC)
Gas Guzzlers Extreme
"Gas Guzzlers Extreme. The name alone should be warning enough that you are about to play a mediocre combat racing game trying to shove tons of the attitude and edgy-ness down your throat. Every kind of cliché you can image for an “extreme” racing game is here. Heavy metal music, lots of explosions, insane weaponry, ludicrously named tracks, inane one liners, and more. Despite all the cheesiness, Gas Guzzlers Extreme does offer you a decent worthwhile experience as a racing combat game but it just screams average in just about every other way imaginable."

GVN Review: Pokemon X/Y (Nintendo 3DS/2DS)
Pokémon X / Y
Developer: Game FreakPublisher: Nintendo
Genre: RPG
Release: Oct 12th, 2013
I've had a fickle relationship with the Pokémon Franchise. I got Pokémon Blue along with my Gameboy Color for Christmas back in 1998. My siblings and I become heavily engrossed in the game and spent hundreds of hours on it. I continued with getting Pokémon Gold a couple years later and I will state that out of all the Pokémon games to date, it was the best of the bunch. I played the Pokémon games that released on the Gameboy Advance but they didn't captivate me as much as the first two.
